CLASIFICADORES DE AIRE

Opposing a particle’s aerodynamic drag force with centrifugal force, air classifies create narrower size distribution and finer separations than conventional screeners. All production models utilize an adjustable forced vortex to provide uniform results while adapting to a range of feed variations. Product line also includes the “Mini-Split” for laboratory scale or small, batch sized separations.

Clasificadores de aire

Prater’s air classifiers offer a wide array of features to ensure superior performance throughout its use. Some of these features include very narrow particle distribution, easy control of mean particle size and cut point, pre-classification with cyclonic air stream, separate dry free-flowing product from 150 – 1 micron and an adjustable secondary air system for the most precise cuts. The design behind our air classifiers ensures feed material enters the classifying vortex unimpeded by re-circulating coarse fractions.

The MAC forced vortex units process dry materials to an unmatched fineness and uniformity over a wide range of feed variations, either in closed-circuit with a conventional milling system or as independent “stand-alone” systems that incorporate feeder, fan and product collection equipment. This particular air classifier works best on crystalline products that are dry and have a narrow distribution, preferably minus 50 micron or better. The MAC can be installed within existing air systems with very little modification necessary. Available in many sizes and in either mild or stainless steel, the MAC units can also include convenient optional equipment such as ceramic rotors and abrasion-resistant steel, rubber, polyurethane or ceramic linings.

  • Separates dry free-flowing product from 150 – 1 micron
  • Allows for very narrow particle distribution
  • Control of mean particle size & cut point
  • Pre-classification with cyclonic air stream
  • Adjustable secondary air system for precise cuts

The Mini-split Air Classifiers were primarily developed for research “semi-tech” and small-scale production applications. An ideal choice for small work spaces, its low-noise capabilities reduce distractions while its compact size ensures efficient portability. This unique design is flexible enough for lab applications and rugged enough to meet small production requirements. All contact parts of the Mini-split Air Classifier are made from stainless steel, which helps to reduce maintenance costs and downtime while increasing operational life. The unit can be easily converted into an opposed jet fluid energy micronising system with an integral classifier. Operating under suction, Prater units always work to promote a dust-free environment. The capacities of feed and finished product bins can be adjusted to meet individual customer requirements for a truly customized machine that works with your specific needs.
